My clients know I will never present a candidate who is not exceptionally qualified, in my technical judgement, to take on the assignment.

This position is for the same engineering group as outlined in the previous position. It is a long-standing understanding of this client that the best technical contributors are often hired because they demonstrate deep intelligence and creativity, not necessarily because they have the most advanced knowledge of specific technologies and features. Accordingly, this client hopes to find candidates for DB Enginnering that fit this description, but who may not necessarily be as advanced in all facets of the relevant technology as most companies might require. A person joining this elite group can will encounter extremely high expectations for technical growth, but also will benefit from a team of mentors that would be hard to equal anywhere.

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, CHOICE OF TWO GROUPS, INTERNET PIONEER - SEATTLE
This position is for the same Internet pioneer described in the first position on this page. This position is for hands-on operational DBAs who want to get involved with the internal systems of one of the most advanced Oracle deployments in the world. DBAs at this company enjoy access to the exceptional resources and infrastructure of the DB Engineering group, but also maintain autonomy and the right to diverge from centralized standards for valid and tested technical reasons. This position is for the same Internet pioneer described in the first position on this page. This position is for a data warehousing specialist who wants to work on massive data warehouses deployed on RAC on Linux. Much of this company's vision and direction has come from effective mining of data from the retail website. In this respect, the data warehouse group supports the pivotal business decisions that have made this company more successful than any competitor. The data warehousing group is the most autonomous of all DBA groups and has been independent for years longer than any other DBA group in the company.
